On its Creator Marketplace, Instagram has added a new function to assist creators in connecting with brands. In order to stand out for brand deals, creators may showcase to brands what makes them special as a creator using the Creator Portfolio.
With Instagram Creator Portfolio You can:
+Add text to brief brands about you and your craft.
+Showcase your content like Reels and Posts.
+Share Instagram profile of your previous jobs with brands and individuals.
The Creator Portfolio is unique to creators who have the Creator Account and have joined the Creator Marketplace.
How to set up Creators Portfolio
To set up your portfolio from your professional dashboard:
- Under the tool drop down, tap ‘Branded Content’
- Tap Creator Portfolio
- Choose a cover image
- Add sections to show your work:
- Text: Describe your craft
- Posts: Share your content to show your niche
- Instagram profile: Share profiles of your previous works with brands and individuals
- Insights: Key metrics about your followers and engagement rates. Note: You can remove, reorder or change title of a session by tapping on ‘edit’
- Tap Save
By default your Creator Portfolio will be visible to only you. To change this, tap ‘change visibility’.
The creator portfolio is a great medium for creators to display their content in the marketplace while brands come shopping for them. Every Instagram Creator should use this feature smartly to hit big gigs in 2023.
Instagram Chat Poll
While creators have a portfolio, every Instagram user can now also send polls directly in messages to groups and Individual chats.
Instagram chat poll feature is a new one that let users send polls to friends in chats or groups. This feature also lets users send polls with pictures and videos.
The feature may be for general users but is very helpful for creators as they can use the chat polls to collect data about their content without much stress.
How to use Instagram chat poll feature
To create and share Instagram Dm polls:
- Open the group in the Dm you want to share polls to
- Tap the sticker option
- Select the ‘polls option’
- Enter the question and options for answers
- Tap ‘create poll’ and send
To add polls to picture and video:
- Open the group or individual chat in the Dm you want to send the polls
- Tap the camera section and capture/ select image or video
- Tap the stickers button and select the ‘polls’ option
- Enter the Polls question and the answer option and tap ‘Done’
- Adjust the size of the Polls sticker to preference and tap ‘Send’
Audiences can vote by tapping on the option for a normal poll. This cannot work for polls on videos and pictures. Instead, audiences can type their choices in the message box on the photos and videos below the poll sticker.
