Project story

Weltrade

The audience fit mattered more than the audience size.TIMA used a two-month creator campaign to introduce Weltrade and Synthetic Indices to Nigerian traders—and learned exactly which voices moved people to act.

The assignment

What had to move.

Client

A clear starting point.

Weltrade is an international trading platform. The Nigerian campaign focused on its market presence and education around Synthetic Indices.

Objective

The business job.

Build trust and awareness while generating measurable account sign-ups and first-time deposits from people interested in trading.

Challenge → response

The work begins with the problem.

Challenge

The Nigerian trading audience is discerning. Generic lifestyle reach could produce views, but credible educational voices were needed to produce qualified action.

TIMA’s response

TIMA matched five creators to different funnel roles across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, balancing macro discovery with finance-focused education and conversion.

Campaign system

How it was built.

  1. 01

    TikTok for discovery

Short-form creator content carried top-of-funnel visibility and generated approximately 51% of campaign views.

  2. 02

    YouTube for consideration

Longer walkthroughs and trading education produced 34% of total reach and a disproportionate share of conversion.

  3. 03

    Instagram for reinforcement

The platform kept Weltrade visible between short-form discovery and deeper educational content.

  4. 04

    Optimise by audience behaviour

TIMA compared creator views, engagement, sign-ups and deposits to separate efficient attention from actual acquisition.

Public campaign evidence

What the work produced.

The largest creator generated 34,291 views but no sign-ups. A smaller, finance-focused YouTube creator produced 117 sign-ups and 11 first-time deposits—making audience relevance the campaign’s decisive result.

Grace FX

23,457 views, 117 sign-ups and 11 first-time depositors from a finance-focused YouTube audience.

Femi Olaniyan D

The smallest view count in the campaign produced the highest sign-up-to-deposit rate at 12.5%.

Tek

A 10.04% engagement rate and the campaign’s lowest cost per engagement on the lowest creator budget.

What the evidence says

The useful lesson.

Audience relevance outperforms audience size

The strongest acquisition came from creators whose communities already understood the category.

Platform roles create the funnel

TikTok introduced, YouTube explained and converted, and Instagram reinforced.

Engagement can predict trust

High engagement among smaller specialist audiences was a stronger signal than the largest raw view total.
